02 - “It was hard work, but the result is more than worth it. This is a dream coming true.”

After two long years of waiting, due to the COVID pandemic it was finally time to go back to Santa Maria and install the apartments of Sal Serenity Suites. Our adventure was supposed to start in 2020, but it ended up starting in the year 2022. Due to COVID the construction of the building took longer than predicted. But with the recent completion of the Santa Maria Residence complex, our constructing process could finally start.

Our vision was to connect the two apartments to create one big apartment. This way, in addition to couples and small families, the apartments could also accommodate larger groups. The first step in realizing this was to install a double dividing door connecting the apartments. As soon as we got the keys, our carpenter came to do this job. He got to work and soon the wall was broken open. With the installation of two doors, the passageway became a reality.

Once the carpenter was done, the painting could begin. The two apartments were painted in the same shade, in a soft gray/beige color. The color on the walls gives a quiet yet chic feeling and that is what we had in mind. With the white baseboards and black doors and frames, our vision became reality. With the foundation in place, the unpacking of all the furniture could start!

The boxes were taken upstairs, and the unpacking could begin. With all of our energy we unpacked and installed everything in no time. The benches, beds, tables, and cabinets were put together and put in place. Gradually everything got a nice place and came to life.

With all the furniture in place, it was time for the fun part: Decorating! With a various of accessories like different kind of vases, statues but al so little things with a connection of the island, we tried to create a nice ambience. The two apartments differ in look. In one apartment you see many beige aspects and in the other apartment the gray aspects dominate. With the use of accessories, among other things, we tried to give the apartments a unique look from each other.

With al of the hard work in a short time, we are very pleased and proud of the end result. We hope that our guests can appreciate our style and vibe we have created at Sal Serenity Suites. After a nice day at the beach or at the rooftop pool, you can come back and enjoy our little piece of serenity.

One thing is for certain it was made with a lot of love and passion.
